shoes stand away, leaving circles open and unfinished.

LOOK A DUCK.today is the day you remember how to breathe.LOOK A DUCK.
there is an ocean of thoughts, nightmares, and gray days; cross it and find yourself on sandy shores and midnight blue skies;
count the stars and breathe in dreams of sunshine. wake up late with the dreams still lingering in your heart, dreams like promises and dragonfly kisses,
candlelight that wont fade.
play on imagination like a piano, words flowing like soft melodies, painting pictures of meadows under soft skies and the smiles of kids on playgrounds; hop-scotch and held hands and snowball fights.
breathe in moonlig

if the alphabet falls like rome,
if i forget to forget your birthday again, if we ache in silence, if i murmur lies to cradle my head,
say you will hurt.
-
when i tell you i dream of angel bones,
when you told me about your heart, when i stumble over my words and feet, when you are deteriorating,
give me a hand to hold.

i may become a briar patch, i may shift into a butterfly, i may burn to a daydream transparent;
remind me to breathe. -

cause all I do is sleep. Dx LOL
Also, thanks for taking the time to explain all that. I'd never really considered the fact that linguistics would require scientific and mathematical knowledge, but it makes sense now that you mention it. I'm going to do a bit more research on the program at the college I'm currently considering. I do believe Princeton offers it as a major, but I need to double check. As well as explore more the different sub-levels you mentioned. Thank you again for all the input, and if I have any more questions I'll be sure to direct them your way. :] Much appreciated.
